Non-profits in Bashkiria face financial problems due to anti-Russian sanctions

Reduced donations to charitable foundations, increased prices for medicines, technical means of rehabilitation, difficulties with the delivery of means of rehabilitation from abroad, increased psychological burden on employees - these are the problems faced by non-profit organizations in Bashkiria amid anti-Russian sanctions. This was told by members of the Public Chamber RB and leaders of non-profits Aigul Gubacheva and Alina Khabirova.

Even though no direct restrictive measures have been introduced against non-profit organizations, according to Alina Khabirova, director of the “Lomaya Baryery” (Breaking Barriers) Center, refusals to treat Russian children abroad are recorded, many companies have stopped funding charitable programs, but despite the difficulties, not a single non-profit the organization of Bashkiria has not closed; moreover, measures to support non-profit organizations are being discussed in the republic.

Aigul Gubacheva, chairperson of the “Poter Net” (No Loss) Charitable Foundation for Seriously Ill Children, believes that grants can become an actual option for supporting non-profits today. In addition, not only financial assistance is in demand, but also volunteers. For example, people who are left without work can help not with money, but with deeds. For many, this will help to avoid stress, feel involved in something good, and reduce anxiety.
