Bashkir doctors undergo training in Iran

Representatives of Bashkir State Medical University are doing an internship in Iran - at the Research Institute of Health Technologies at the Amir Kabir Technological University. The university is included in the TOP-500 world institutional rankings.

Associate Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine at Bashkir State Medical University Svetlana Pyatnitskaya and Assistant Professor of the Department of Pharmacology Kadriya Enikeeva are undergoing an internship on practical experiments with cell cultures to determine the toxicity of new compounds, work with a biobank, and additive technologies necessary for the implementation of the mega-grant.

Based on the Bashkir State Medical University, according to the implementation of the mega-grant, a laboratory of additive technologies will be created for the manufacture of promising ceramic bio-medical implants and products.

Implants can be used in reconstructive and regenerative medicine, where it is required to restore defects in patient tissues after injuries or diseases.

“According to the results of the internship, the participants of the internship will implement the experience gained at the Iranian university in the work of the cell culture laboratory, the biobank, as well as the new laboratory of additive technologies,” Valentin Pavlov, Rector of the Bashkir State Medical University, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences said.

The internship program is implemented within the framework of the world-class Eurasian REC. The duration of the internship is 45 days.
