Bashkiria took second place in Russian Travel Awards

According to the Russian Travel Awards, Bashkiria has become the leader of ethnocultural tourism in Russia. The delegation of Bashkiria took second place in the "Territory of ethnic-cultural tourism" nomination.

The final events of the All-Russian Tourism Award were held in St. Petersburg.

"We are actively preparing for the Tourism and Hospitality Industry project, which will help make traveling in Russia convenient, safe and interesting; an important part is the involvement of the region's tourism asset in this work. Such competitions provide an opportunity to unite this asset, and the participants themselves receive a guide to a rapidly changing market," the Acting Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for Tourism Rinat Fatkullin said.

Bashkortostan also became a laureate in the special nomination of the Board of Trustees of the Russian Travel Awards - "Breakthrough of the Year. Tourist Souvenir". Representatives of 32 regions of the country took part in the competitive, business, and exhibition program of the award's final.

"Such events are held following the past year's results; they aim to develop and promote domestic tourism and the hospitality industry. Members of the hospitality industry of Bashkortostan annually demonstrate excellent results," Artur Idelbaev, Deputy Director of the Tourism Development Center of the Republic of Bashkortostan, said.

The Russian Travel Awards is conducted for the first time.

It is awarded based on the results of the past year and is aimed at developing domestic tourism and the hospitality industry, identifying the most successful projects in this area, and promoting them. The finalists in each official nomination are determined by the decision of the expert council of the award. The jury approves the winners in these categories following the public presentation of the finalists.
