

In Bashkiria, almost 100,000 people fell ill with SARS and influenza in a week. According to the head of Rospotrebnadzor for Bashkortostan, Anna Kazak, the situation with the overall infectious incidence in January 2022 is stable, despite some growth compared to 2021.
"According to preliminary diagnoses, 99,042 cases of acute respiratory viral infections were registered over the past week, of which 23.9% were among children. The incidence of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections exceeds the weekly epidemic thresholds by 453.3%. Still, we see stabilization - there is a decrease in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections and hospitalizations with infections," the chief sanitary doctor said at a briefing session in the government.
Anna Kazak also added that the region recorded a decrease in the incidence of community-acquired pneumonia by 23.4% compared to the previous week. Meanwhile, the number of hospitalizations has slightly increased. Basically, the republic's inhabitants suffer the disease in a mild and moderate form.
