Radiy Khabirov spoke about science developing in Bashkiria

The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, congratulated on his social media the scientific community on their professional holiday - the Day of Russian Science, and wished the scientists new achievements and confidence in the future.

The Head of the Republic believes that a brilliant discovery is sometimes born even in the smallest laboratory.

“It is with hypotheses, theories, research, experiments, and subsequent testing of results in applied industries that large-scale technical progress starts - new technologies emerge in industry and agriculture, the IT sector, medicine, environmental management, and the social sphere. Science penetrates all aspects of our life,” Radiy Khabirov posted.

Radiy Khabirov noted that the vital project in the scientific policy of the republic is the development of the world-class Eurasian Research and Educational Center (REC) in Bashkortostan. Our universities have become winners of the Priority 2030 state support program for Russian universities. Thanks to federal funds, six youth laboratories in the field of genetics, materials science, photonics, and nanotechnologies have appeared in Bashkortostan. A multifunctional university of a new type is being created in the republic - the Ufa University of Science and Technology.

Bashkortostan also successfully defended the program for operating a carbon landfill in the republic for the next two years. The construction of the interuniversity campus of the Eurasian REC is being launched.

“In 2022, 200 young scientists and graduate students should complete an internship abroad or in the best scientific and educational organizations in Russia. We have also begun to develop proposals for improving living conditions for the leading scientists of the republic. I am sure that these measures will contribute to the further strengthening of the scientific sphere of Bashkortostan,” the Head of the Republic summed up.
