8 natural objects of Bashkiria were included in federal catalog

The state catalog of geographical names in 2021 was replenished with the names of eight natural objects located on the border between Bashkortostan and Tatarstan. According to Rosreestr, these are the Somovo old river, the Naidan old river, the Staraya Syun river, the Akkuzya stream, the Malouska stream, the Smylovka river, the Aulkul channel, and Lake Kly.

These natural objects were identified in the process of studying cartographic and topographic materials published in 1959-2011.

“Also, Rosreestr specialists discovered two facts of incorrect spelling of the names of settlements on road signs in the Miyakinsky and Alsheevsky districts. These shortcomings have been corrected, ”the Bashkir department of Rosreestr reported.

The State Catalog of Geographical Names is the Rosreestr information system containing the names of almost 1 million geographical objects in Russia. The catalog is an integral part of the federal cartographic and geodetic fund.
