The cultural and tourist public space project in the village of Voskresenskoye in the Meleuzovsky district (part of the Toratau Geopark) "Art Center Voskresensky Zavod" in 2020 received a federal subsidy as the winner of the IV All-Russian competition for the best comfortable urban projects. 65 million rubles were allocated for implementation.
Opposite the oldest copper smelter in the Urals, a font was reconstructed near the church, a pergola with built-in locker rooms was built.
"The completion of work and the grand opening of the art center are planned for May 2022. A multifunctional cultural platform near the picturesque ruins of the Voskresensky Plant will attract additional tourist flows," the Acting Chairman of the State Committee of Bashkortostan for Tourism Rinat Fatkullin, noted.
"It will be possible to buy an excursion in the visitor center with a geo-guide of the Toratau geopark, buy souvenirs of local artisans. A part of the premises will be occupied by equipment for the operation of video cameras and a radio room to control sound equipment around the perimeter. It is planned to improve the site near the pond and the earthen rampart at the second stage. At the beginning of the 20th century, this place was widely used by the Pashkovs for social festivities both in winter and summer. They came from the capital and held theatrical performances, went hunting. There was even a tennis court there. As part of the reconstruction, we would like to restore the stadium, organize a barbecue area, and a camping and glamping site in the future. Interested entrepreneurs have already applied to the village council with their projects," the head of the rural settlement Sergey Kuvaytsev says.
As the authors note, the art center will reveal the tourist potential of the village and become an essential sight for both visitors to the Toratau geopark and lovers of industrial architecture and artists who come to the open air. A variety of event venues will attract a steady flow of guests to the park.
