Half of Ufa residents regularly engage in physical education and sports
In 2021, the number of Ufa residents systematically engaged in physical culture and sports reached 50.7 percent. Thus, the number of active and healthy lifestyle fans increased by 54,000 people compared to the previous year. These data were presented at a meeting following last year's results by the chairman of the Department for Physical Culture and Sports of the Ufa Administration, Yegor Sorokin.
"The President of Russia has set the task of increasing the number of Russian citizens systematically engaged in physical culture and sports to 70 percent by 2030," he said. "We are identifying several priority areas of our work in order to achieve this goal."
