Vladimir Putin instructed to work out the issue of encouraging students - winners of international scientific competitions. One of the participants of the meeting of the President of the Russian Federation with students of leading Russian universities, which was held via videoconference on Tuesday, January 25, spoke about the need for financial support.

At the same time, the head of the country addressed to his assistant Andrey Fursenko and the Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov on the issue of encouraging students - winners of international competitions, TASS reports.

"We will definitely do it. I would like to say additionally that if students, guys participate in such events, the university has the right, and many universities provide special preferences to those applying for master's programs. As for financial support, including scholarships, we will submit [proposals]. Of course, such support should be special," he assured.

According to Fursenko, together with the Ministry of Education, proposals will be prepared on how to encourage students.
