Round table dedicated to International Remembrance Day of Holocaust Victims was held in Ufa

January 25 in Ufa, the National Library RB hosted a round table, "The Holocaust: the History of Fates", dedicated to the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Holocaust. The broadcast was online. The event was attended by scientists, employees of the centralized library systems of Bashkortostan, readers.

As noted by the acting director of the library, chairman of the society of local historians of the republic Marat Zulkarnaev, such a tragedy and catastrophe of the 20th century as the Holocaust should not be repeated.

"The future generation should remember, be aware and not allow any further reasons for terrible, tragic events," he stressed.

Marat Mardanov, Chairman of the Council of the Branch of the Russian Historical Society RB, spoke about the joint work of the society with students and teachers to preserve the memory of the last war. He emphasized that a special place among the events was occupied by the International Competition of Methodological Developments "Lessons of Victory" among teachers, held jointly with the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

Aleksey Tselishchev, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign History of the Faculty of History of the Bashkir State University, spoke about the social experiments of the Nazis on prisoners, carried out within the framework of the Nazi concept. Publicist and local historian Emma Shkurko spoke about people who themselves and whose relatives went through the hell of the Holocaust and were making this story known to future generations.
