Bashkiria Parliament transferred plenary sessions to remote work, observing anti-epidemic measures

On January 27, the plenary session of the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortostan will be held in the format of a video conference call, the Kurultay press service reported.

"Tough restrictive measures were introduced from the very beginning of the pandemic. Recently, they have been slightly softened since almost all deputies and employees of the parliament's secretariat have been vaccinated.

Now, due to the rapid omicron spread, we must return the maximum restrictions again. Deputies working on a permanent professional basis and speakers will be present in person, the rest - remotely. Technically, the process is well run-in; there should be no failures," Konstantin Tolkachev, Chairman of the State Assembly of Bashkiria, explained.

The meeting will be public - anyone can watch the broadcast online or recorded on the YouTube channel of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan.
