Bashkiria authorities intend to build system for separate MSW collection in 2022

By 2024, 10 new waste sorting complexes should appear in the republic, Prime Minister of Bashkiria Andrey Nazarov said at a meeting in the government.

He set the task to enter the federal program for large-scale projects in the field of waste treatment and disposal and to implement "at least one such project in the republic."

According to the Minister of Ecology RB Ural Iskandarov, 500 units of equipment daily provided uninterrupted waste removal during the New Year holidays.

"About 51 thousand tons of waste were removed. In general, the work was organized at the proper level, but there were also disruptions to the schedule - in Birsk, in the villages of Angasyak, Uyady, Iskush of Dyurtyulinsky district, Ilikovo of Kushnarenkovsky district. After receiving information about the violation of the schedule in all cases, the waste was removed within 12 hours," the minister said.

According to the Republican Management Center analysis, the issue of timely garbage collection is the main one among the appeals in social media. Also, people are concerned about the condition of containers and container sites, spontaneous dumps.

Most requests in 2021 came from residents of Ufa - 740 (+327 compared to 2020), Ufimsky district - 119 (+29), Sterlitamak - 116 (+58), Neftekamsk - 116 (+52), Iglinsky district - 101 ( +50).
