

A short working week has begun in Bashkiria. There is a long New Year holiday ahead; they will last ten days, the press service of the Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Protection RB reports.
According to article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 - New Year's holidays, January 7, Christmas, are non-working holidays.
In order to rationally use weekends and non-working holidays by employees, the day off from Sunday, January 3, is postponed to Friday, December 31.
In 2022, non-working holidays on January 1 and 2 coincide with Saturday and Sunday. Therefore, the day off from Saturday, January 1, is postponed to Tuesday, May 3, from Sunday, January 2 to Tuesday, May 10.
Thus, non-working holidays and weekends in connection with the New Year's holidays are December 31, 2021, January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 January 2022. On Thursday, December 30, 2021, working hours will not be reduced.
On the grounds of Article 120 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, when granting an annual basic or annual additional paid leave, the number of calendar days of leave does not include non-working holidays: January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
