The skating rink is located along the river and occupies the entire second tier of the embankment. For the convenience of residents, there is also a warm changing room, skate rental, food outlets.

As the head of the Belaya River Embankment facility Larisa Eremeeva told Bashinform News Agency, townspeople with their skates can come to the skating rink for free.

“The location of our embankment mostly inspired us as it is quite specific. Our embankment is three-level. We left the upper level for runners and athletes, it will be possible to walk at the lower level, and a skating rink completely occupies the middle level,” she added.

They began to fill the skating rink about three weeks ago, according to Eremeeva.

“There were difficulties; the site is quite specific. There is just concrete under the ice here, and we had to fill it with water several times. Yesterday, we saved up a little snow to make the ice even and dense. Today we compact the snow, partially clean it and fill it up again. We will fill the final layers with water just before opening, ”she said.

One can get to the skating rink either from the side of the Friendship Monument or by going down from the Congress Hall.
