

This evening in the Bashkir capital, the opening of the central city ice towns on Lenin Square and Salavat Yulaev Square will take place, the press service of the municipality informs.
“Both venues will host festive performances with Grandfather Frost, Snow Maiden, and fairy-tale characters, culminating in the lighting of illumination on the New-Year Trees,” the mayor's office reports.
This year, 35-meter spruce brought to Ufa from the Blagoveshchensk region was installed on Lenin Square. At the entrance to the ice town, guests will see ice figures of Santa Claus and Snow Maiden, three arches in the form of large festive balls, figures of stars and snowflakes, an LED canopy over the fountain behind the Christmas tree, and two slides are installed.
On the square named after Salavat Yulaev, next to the Toratau Congress Hall, a multimedia pixel New-Year Tree 32 meters high is traditionally installed.
In addition to the entrance lobby, the figures of Grandfather Frost and the Snow Maiden, the ice town is decorated with LED structures in the form of falling comets, an ice labyrinth, and festive illumination of the fountain in the form of a kurai flower.
The opening ceremony of the central city ice towns of Ufa will start at 5 pm.
