Putin instructed to double pay healthcare workers in COVID hospitals on New Year's holidays
Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to find funds to double pay healthcare employees working on New Year's holidays with patients with a new coronavirus infection.
"This year, in 2021, on the New Year holidays, we ensured the double payment of special allowances for health workers and social workers who worked, are working, and will continue to work with COVID patients. I would ask the government to do the same on New Year's holidays in 2022", the head of state said at a meeting with government members.
According to Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, the country's budget has the opportunity for such payments. This will require 8 billion rubles.
