The Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, stated this at the media scrum after the plenary session of the All-Russian Medical Forum.
“At the moment, we have 2.5 thousand beds occupied by coronavirus patients. About 800 more beds are available. We can absolutely calmly and comfortably admit patients now,” the Head of the Region emphasized.
Radiy Khabirov noted that a good balance of restrictive, preventive measures and the current state of our healthcare had been achieved in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
As a reminder, the construction of two COVID hospitals was launched in the cities of Sibay and Tuymazy the other days as part of the All-Russian Medical Forum.
“Of course, it is difficult to predict how the coronavirus will develop. New strains appear, the virus mutates. However, most importantly, we clearly understand, we believe that the coronavirus will go away one day, and all these centers, all these facilities will remain. They will be easily repurposed into ordinary general hospitals,” Radiy Khabirov summed up.
