Liliya Gumerova positively assessed Bashkiria's progress during Science and Technology Year

Liliya Gumerova, Chairperson of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education, and Culture, positively assessed the results of Bashkortostan's work in the Year of Science and Technology. The republic is now at the beginning of a long journey; she said visiting the united stand of Bashkortostan at the VUZPROMEXPO-2021 exhibition, organized within the framework of the Congress of Young Scientists in Sochi.

Recall that the world-class Eurasian Research and Education Center (REC) presented the first results of its breakthrough technological projects at the Sochi Congress currently underway.

"The exhibition has already presented the achievements of the world-class Eurasian REC," Liliya Gumerova noted. There are decisions taken at the federal level to develop the infrastructure of our universities. "In addition, within the framework of the Priority 2030 program, we are the only constituent entity of Russia where all universities that applied for participation were supported. This is definitely a great victory and, at the same time, is the first step at the beginning of a long journey."

As the Senator stressed, several decisions on financial support had been adopted at the level of the Head of Bashkortostan.

"It is essential that our specialized departments and universities create an integrated system for promoting and supporting talents," Liliya Gumerova believes. "The next issue is the introduction of technologies. In other words, scientific developments should be in demand in life. There are three components: science - region - business. If all these components work, then, of course, all our technologies will contribute to the prosperity of Bashkortostan and the country as a whole."
