

The world-class Eurasian REC presented the first results of its breakthrough technological projects at the joint stand of Bashkortostan at the VUZPROMEXPO-2021 exhibition, organized within the framework of the Congress of Young Scientists that opened in Sochi.
Recall that in December last year, the Eurasian REC won the competitive selection and received federal support for development. It included seven universities: Bashkir State University, Bashkir State Agrarian University, Bashkir State Medical University, Bashkir State Pedagogical University, Ufa State Aviation Technical University, Ufa State Petroleum Technical University and Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, as well as three scientific organizations - IASM RAS, Academy of Sciences RB, UFITS RAS and 26 enterprises of the real sector of the economy.
Ten advanced technology projects were identified in several areas. "New Living Environment", "Digital and "Green" Chemistry, Energy", "Biomedicine and Genetics", "Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing Technologies" are among them.
One of the Eurasian REC presentation projects will be a project to create an inter-university student campus in Ufa.
The stand also presented the latest development of scientists from the Eurasian REC - a special SWAB-set for identifying a risk factor for cervical cancer. The unique technology allows getting an unambiguous result. The kit is intended for independent use with further sending the sample to the laboratory for analysis for the presence of human papillomavirus with a high risk of oncogenicity.
The joint stand of the Eurasian REC also presented a product that became a laureate of the project "Best Russian invention of the XXI century" - "Biodegradable polymer composite material based on recycled polypropylene", created on the basis of dietary supplements.
As emphasized by the Eurasian REC, Bashkortostan takes an active part in the pilot project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia to create a carbon testing ground. Now the issue of introducing a carbon neutrality experiment in the region is being considered.
Visitors to the stand will also be able to get acquainted with new state support measures for young scientists developed in Bashkortostan, youth laboratories, and the latest medical projects, such as creating a human bioengineering cornea of the eye and other projects.
The Sochi Congress brings together representatives of leading scientific and educational organizations, honored and young scientists, students, and schoolchildren from different regions of Russia. Participants - leading Russian universities and research and educational centers will demonstrate their state-of-the-art scientific and technical achievements and developments. Numerous events are held at Sirius Science and Art Park and will last until December 10.
