

“We have overcome the psychological threshold of 2 million people. However, we are faced with the task of vaccinating 80 percent of the adult population of Bashkortostan, which is 2,484,667 people. That is, about 480 thousand more people need to be vaccinated. Only in this case we will be able to achieve collective immunity,” Radiy Khabirov said.
Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Health of Bashkortostan Maxim Zabelin said that the region received 2,514,683 doses of domestic vaccines. As of December 2, 2,003,946 people were vaccinated with the first dose. 1,756,170 people have fully completed vaccination. This is respectively 80.7 and 70.7 percent of the population subject to vaccination.
The leaders in terms of the vaccination campaign rates are Buzdyaksky, Chishminsky, Alsheevsky, Chekmagushevsky, Ufimsky, and Kushnarenkovsky districts where more than 100 percent of residents to be vaccinated have already been vaccinated. Low rates of vaccination are in Sibay, Beloretsky, and Burzyansky districts.
Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Health of Bashkortostan Maxim Zabelin also reported that the total number of coronavirus cases was 107,696 people in the republic as of December 2. During the day, 662 new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed. A total of 96,602 people recovered, of which 658 - over the past day. Health care professionals have performed more than 4.87 million tests for COVID-19.
Maxim Zabelin noted that the number of infectious beds continued to be reduced in the region. 2,985 beds have been deployed for patients with coronavirus in Bashkortostan, while at the peak of the incidence a month and a half ago, their number reached 8,000. The free bed capacity is 22 percent. Hospitals previously repurposed for COVID hospitals are returning to routine operations. On November 15, the republic resumed the annual medical examination.
The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, recalled that on December 1, new restrictions for the unvaccinated came into force. Now they can check into hotels only if they have a certificate of being vaccinated against COVID-19, a certificate of the previous coronavirus illness within six months, or a certificate of medical exemption for vaccination, provided along with a negative laboratory PCR test for COVID-19. The participants discussed how hotel organizations began to comply with these requirements.
Also, following the decree of the chief state sanitary doctor in the republic, since December 18, employers have the right to suspend unvaccinated employees from work without paying them remuneration.
At the meeting, they also discussed the situation with the spread of a new strain of coronavirus - omicron in the world. The head of the Republican Department of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Kazak, noted that this type of COVID-19 was characterized by a high degree of contagiousness. At the same time, not a single case of infection with the omicron strain has yet been registered in Russia.
At the end of the meeting, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, once again instructed to strengthen control over the observance of sanitary and epidemiological standards and restrictive measures for unvaccinated residents.
