Integrated air emission control system can be created in Bashkiria
Members of the parliamentary working group on monitoring the implementation of legislation in the field of atmospheric air protection in the Republic of Bashkortostan considered a proposal to create an air quality management system in the region.
“We are talking about a multi-level system of environmental monitoring,” Konstantin Tolkachev, Chairman of the State Assembly-Kurultay of the Republic of Bashkortostan, explained. “Its main elements are automatic air pollution control stations and special software for online data collection and transmission. In addition to the existing control posts, the monitoring system may include new stations planned in the republic. Comprehensive online monitoring will make operational decisions and predict the environmental situation in the region based on constantly updated data.
It was proposed to implement the project at the expense of extra-budgetary funding sources with subsequent reimbursement of costs to the contractor within three to five years.
The proposal to create an air quality management system in the republic is included in the recommendations of the working group to be sent to the Government RB.
