1.683 million people completed vaccination in Bashkiria

Almost 1.683 million people completed vaccination in Bashkiria. This is 67.8 percent of the region's population subject to vaccination against the new coronavirus infection, the press service of the region's Ministry of Health informs.

In total, about 2.485 million people are planned to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic.

To date, Bashkiria has received more than 2.457 million doses of vaccines against coronavirus infection. Almost 1.946 million people jabbed the first dose of the vaccine, or 78.3 percent of the population to be vaccinated.

"The total population of the republic over 60 is currently over 890 thousand people. Of these, about 497 thousand people were vaccinated with the first dose, and almost 425 thousand elderly people were vaccinated with the second dose," the regional Ministry of Health said.

In total, over 26.4 thousand people have been vaccinated with the first and second doses in the republic over the past 24 hours.
