Validity of COVID-19 previous illness certificates can be extended to 1 year in Russia

Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova made such a proposal.

Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the proposal of Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova to extend the certificate validity period to 1 year after the previous illness of COVID-19, TASS reports.

Earlier, at a meeting with government members, Golikova noted that the share of re-ill with coronavirus in Russia amounted to 0.74% of the total. In her opinion, in this regard, there was a proposal to extend the validity of such certificates from six months to one year.

“Shortly, the relevant changes will be made in the methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Health, and the corresponding changes will be taken into account by the Ministry of Digital Science on the Unified Portal of Public Services in the certificates of vaccinated citizens,” she said.
