The Ministry of Health of Russia today, November 24, will register the Gam-Covid-Vac M vaccine for children. Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova reported this to President Vladimir Putin.
According to her, the drug is intended for minors from 12 to 17 years old. At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the immunization of children against COVID is possible only with the voluntary consent of the legal representatives of the minor or the minor himself, who has reached 15 years of age.
The vaccine may appear in civilian circulation as early as the end of December, Golikova specified.
In turn, Vladimir Putin instructed the government to pay attention to COVID vaccines for children from two years old. He also added that vaccinations against COVID should be voluntary, including for children.
