Snow, strong wind, blizzard and ice: adverse weather events are expected in Bashkiria over weekend

In Bashkiria, a worsening of weather conditions is expected with active cyclone displacement in the coming days. According to weather forecasters, on November 20-21, most regions of the republic will experience snow, moderate to heavy sleet. In some places, the wind will increase up to 17-23 m/s, along with blizzards, sticking of wet snow on wires and trees, ice. Packed snow on the roads, snow drifts, ice, sometimes deterioration of visibility up to 500 m or less are likely, the Ministry of Emergency Situations RB warned.

The department also informs that a storm warning is in effect in the republic until 8 pm on November 19. During this period, adverse weather events are possible in the republic's territory: light snow, ground blizzard, black ice, icy roads. The wind will be southern, southwestern 9-14 m/s, in places with gusts of 15-20 m/s. At night, the air temperature will drop to  -4, -9 C, in the northern and mountainous regions -13, -18 C, in the daytime 0, -5 C. Fog is expected on some road sections, visibility 500-1000 m.
