Russian Ministry of Health cancels QR codes for patients infected with coronavirus after vaccination

This means that if a person gets sick after being vaccinated, the remaining term of the vaccination QR code will be canceled.

A new order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation on a new form of vaccination certificate has been published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

As indicated in the document, after vaccination, the QR code is valid for a year and after an illness - six months. In this case, if the vaccinated person is diagnosed with a coronavirus, their digital pass as vaccinated is canceled, and the QR code of the person who has recovered begins to operate, which is designed only for six months.

"The QR code contains information about the completion of <...> vaccination against a new coronavirus infection or the fact of a previous illness caused by COVID-19, with the latest date of the event, as well as the QR code validity period", the message says.

Recall that citizens can receive a vaccination certificate, previous illness, or contraindications on request at the hospital or the MFC. The electronic version of the document is also available on the State Services portal.
