More than two thousand New Year trees will be installed in Bashkiria

By December 1, all cities and regions of Bashkiria should be decorated for the New Year. The Head of the region Radiy Khabirov, stated this at a briefing session in the republican government.

According to Acting Minister of Housing and Utilities Alan Marzaev, by December 20, municipalities must ensure the installation of New Year Trees, ice sculptures and hold the grand opening of New Year's towns. The regional authorities plan to build 1,160 ice towns (722 in squares, 258 in courtyards, 174 in other places, 6 on embankments).

Also, 756 skating rinks and 1173 slides will be arranged for winter sports lovers.

"Within the framework of the festive decoration, 2,291 spruces will be installed, of which 2,145 are live spruces, 146 are artificial ones. It is planned to increase the number of art objects by one and a half times (the total number will be 5 thousand),"  Alan Marzayev said.

According to him, a competition for the best New Year's decoration and an ice town will be held among the municipalities.

As the Head of Bashkiria noted, the authorities planned to improve the New Year's decorations in cities and villages every year, but "now there is no time for that as you understand," Radiy Khabirov marked.
