Bashkiria district first to reach target vaccination rates for COVID-19 is named
Buzdyaksky district of Bashkiria shows more than 80% of the adult population and 102% of the population advised for vaccination which had their jabs against the new coronavirus infection. This municipality was the first to reach the target COVID-19 vaccination rate. According to the rating of the regional Rospotrebnadzor, the district is in the green zone in terms of morbidity.
According to Alexander Ovchinnikov, deputy head physician of the Buzdyak Central Regional Hospital, the district's population followed the advice of medical professionals.
"We still have a population, mainly in the 60+ category, which also needs to be vaccinated and then revaccinated. Therefore, we continue work in this direction", the doctor said.
