2 633 residents of Bashkiria have died from COVID-19 since beginning of year
Over the nine months of this year, from January to September, 2,633 residents of Bashkiria officially died of COVID-19.
In September alone, 894 people were killed by the virus. Rosstat published mortality statistics.
A significant increase in the number of deaths from coronavirus has been recorded since July. So, in January, 63 people died from infection, in February - 92, in March - 124, in April - 90, in May - 142, in June -144.
Since July, the mortality figures from COVID have been dramatically different. If in July 415 people died from infection, then in August, there are already 669 residents.
In total, 6,665 people died in Bashkiria in September this year. This is 1,649 less than in September 2020. Thus 46,176 residents of the region died from January to September 2021.
As before, there is an excess of the number of deaths over the number of births in the republic. In September, 3 315 newborns were born. The natural population decline was 3 350 people.
