Russian Health Ministry: tense situation with COVID-19 is observed in six regions of country

The incidence of coronavirus infection continues to grow in Russia. Over the past day, 33,740 new cases of the disease have been identified. As the Minister of Health, Mikhail Murashko, said today during a meeting of the Presidium of the Coordination Council under the Government of the Russian Federation to combat COVID-19, the epidemiological process in the regions is "asymmetric".
"I would like to note six subjects where we see a tense situation: the Udmurt Republic, Perm Territory, Orenburg Region, Bashkortostan, Tyumen Region, Ivanovo Region, and the Republic of Tatarstan," the Minister of Health said. "The situation requires an individual approach, including restrictive measures, so we sent additional medical teams to several regions from the listed ones. They work there today."
The head of the federal headquarters and deputy prime minister of the Russian government, Tatyana Golikova, also noted the growing incidence. She suggested contacting Vladimir Putin and introducing non-working days from October 30 to November 7. At the same time, non-working days should already be provided for several regions since October 23.
Several coronavirus cases in Bashkortostan exceeded 78 thousand people. Over the past day, COVID-19 was confirmed in 664 people. The total number of infected people is 78,137. In total, 67,571 people recovered from COVID-19, including 458 recovered over the past day. Thirty-five patients have died from coronavirus. 1 457 073 people are vaccinated with the first dose, 1 263 998 people with the second dose.
