Ufa Airport welcomed its three millionth passenger in 2021

The Ufa International Airport, on October 1, welcomed the three millionth passenger in 2021. This happened a month earlier than in the pre-crisis 2019.

"This suggests that recently there has been a steady tendency towards an increase in the air passenger traffic to Bashkortostan and its capital Ufa," Alexander Andreev, Director General of the Ufa aviation hub, said. "Demand is also recovering, new destinations are opening up, including international ones, and there are programs to subsidize regional air transportation. At the same time, we constantly take care of the quality of service so that passengers' stay at the Ufa airport is comfortable and safe."

The busiest month in terms of passenger traffic at the Ufa airport was August. In the last month of summer, the air gates of the capital of Bashkiria served 486.1 thousand people, which is 74% more than in August 2020 and 32% more than in 2019. This happened due to the Junior World Wrestling Championship and the WorldSkills Russia national final holding in Ufa.

The servicing of the jubilee 3.5 millionth passenger, according to the estimates of the airport specialists, is expected in November this year.
