More than 50 thousand Ufa residents took part in the second autumn citywide clean-up, the press service of the Moscow mayor's office reported.
The second autumn environmental clean-up, which took place in Ufa on September 25, was held as part of a month for sanitary cleaning and landscaping of the city's territory.
The clean-up participants cleared the city's territory of debris and fallen leaves, accomplished the quay zones, parks, squares, yards, lawns, external amenities, and planted trees as part of the Green Bashkiria campaign.
"In total, more than 50 thousand people took part in the city clean-up. About 700 units of equipment were involved. More than 1.5 thousand cubic meters of garbage were taken out of the city", the press service of the capital's administration reported.
As the Bashinform News Agency previously reported, on September 11, a citywide clean-up took place in Ufa as part of the autumn month for sanitary cleaning and landscaping and the All-Russian environmental campaign Green Russia. Then it was attended by about 59 thousand people.
