Radiy Khabirov took part in opening ceremony of EuroSkills Graz 2021 championship

On September 22, in the Austrian city of Graz, the European Professional Skills Championship EuroSkills Graz 2021 started, which will last until September 26. The competition's opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education of Russia Sergey Kravtsov, the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, and the General Director of the Agency for the Development of Professional Development Skills (WorldSkills Russia) Robert Urazov.
Competitions will be held in the "Skill Village" on Lake Schwarzl in 38 primary and ten presentation skills. About 400 people from 31 countries take part in the championship.
The Russian national team included 57 contestants from 15 regions of the country. Bashkortostan is represented by Ilnur Shaikhislamov, a graduate of the Sibai Multidisciplinary Professional College. He performs in the competence "Architectural stone processing" in the category "Construction work".
The IX National Championship "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia) final was held in Ufa from 25 to August 29, 2021. One thousand seven hundred eighty-six contestants from 76 regions of Russia came to the capital of Bashkortostan. In the overall medal standings, the national team of the republic took second place, having won 62 medals.
The EuroSkills Championship is Europe's most prominent international professional skill competition for young people under 25. It takes place every two years in one of the countries participating in WorldSkills Europe.
At the last EuroSkills championship in Budapest in 2018, the Russian national team took first place in the overall medal standings. At the WorldSkills World Championship in Kazan in 2019, it became the second.
In August 2023, Russia will host the EuroSkills European Skills Championship for the first time in St. Petersburg.
