2.48 million residents should be vaccinated to combat COVID-19 in Bashkiria effectively

In Bashkiria, 2.48 million people should be vaccinated to combat COVID-19 effectively. The Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov said this at a regular meeting of the emergency operations center to prevent the coronavirus spreading in the republic.
"2.48 million people should be vaccinated against coronavirus infection in the republic in order to stop the further growth of diseases," Radiy Khabirov said. "The country and the republic should go on developing; residents must be protected from the virus to the full extent".
As of September 20, 1,251,730 residents of the republic were vaccinated with the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 1,138,538 people were jabbed with the second dose.
At the same time, according to Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Health RB Maxim Zabelin, several municipalities in the south and west of the republic and the Trans-Urals are lagging behind the national average rates of vaccination against COVID-19.
