Old sports complex was reconstructed in Mezhgorye

Yesterday the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov began his working trip to Mezhgorye city with a visit to a universal sports complex in the south-western part of the city.

The sports complex has become worn and obsolete. In 2013, an independent examination found it unsuitable for safe operation. Because of this, almost 30% of the population was left without the opportunity to play sports.

The cost of the reconstruction was 108.7 million rubles. The complex was opened after reconstruction in 2018. A third floor was added to the building; as a result, its area was significantly increased.

“There is a multipurpose gym, with eight badminton courts, volleyball, basketball and football grounds, a gym and wrestling halls, and a ski lodge operating at the same time. The venues meet the standards for holding republican and all-Russian competitions. The most important thing is that the number of children involved in sports is growing every year,” Mikhail Prusakov, director of the sports school of the city of Mezhgorye, told Radiy Khabirov.

There are sections for children in cross-country skiing, badminton, sambo wrestling, and national kuresh wrestling, table tennis, taekwondo.

Radiy Khabirov positively assessed the sports complex's capabilities and watched the training of young football players and wished them sports victories.
