The traveler Oleg Chegodaev, who walked the entire Urals, returns to the mountains to extinguish the forest fires, and everyone can join him. He published a post with an appeal to those who wish to help on his Facebook page.

“The situation in the mountains of the Southern Urals is not easy; another fire started on the Kumardak ridge. We should organize help on the weekend”, he posted.

“What will you have to do? Work without heroism. Carry water, dig mineralized lines, etc. Hard work in the mountains,” he explained the task for the volunteers.

Earlier, at a press conference at the Bashinform News Agency, Oleg Chegodaev spoke about his 109-day hike in the Urals.

The Ufa native became the first person who passed the entire Ural ridge: from the Dolgie Gory gorge in the south to Konstantinov Kamen in the north, 20 kilometers from which the Kara Sea begins, and mainland Russia ends.
