COVID-19 death toll approached one thousand in Bashkiria

According to the emergency operations center, as of August 23, 12 deaths from COVID-19 were registered. In total, 999 people died, including 802 aged 60+.

During the day, 297 new cases of infection with a new coronavirus infection were recorded. The total number for the entire period reached 54,639 people.

790 patients are treated in hospitals, including 504 patients aged 60+. Of these, 67 are in serious condition, 3 are connected to lung ventilators.

2,713 people are treated at home, including 1,485 patients aged 60+.

57 people were discharged from hospitals per day, total discharged - 50,137 people.

The number of cases with community-acquired pneumonia per day - 130. Discharged patients with pneumonia - 102.

A total of 3,723,989 tests were carried out, 3,505 tests per day.

In total, the republic received 1,356,168 doses of vaccines from Covid-19. 1 106 459 people were jabbed with the first dose (83% of the received vaccines).

920,977 people fully completed vaccination (1st and 2nd doses).

During the day, 5,887 people received the vaccine (1 dose - 1 926, 2 dose - 3 961).

The total number of the population over 60 years old is 890 387.

Number of vaccinated 60+: 1st dose - 265 775, 2nd dose - 229 527 people.
