23 children were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, 23 children were hospitalized with a diagnosis of COVID-19. Azat Rakhmatullin, First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic, stated this today at a briefing session in the government.

According to him, at present, almost 4,000 adults in the region continue to be treated for COVID in hospitals, 2,500 of them are over 60 years old.

Azat Rakhmatullin reported that 54,639 people had caught a new coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 297 people had been infected in the last 24 hours.

Vaccination of the population is also actively continuing in the republic. About 916 thousand people have fully completed vaccination against coronavirus, 1 million 104 thousand residents of the region were jabbed with the first dose.
