Radiy Khabirov offered to take tourists to Mari Historical and Cultural Center in Mishkino

Today, during his working trip to the Mishkinsky district, the Head of Bashkortostan visited the Mari historical and cultural center, which was opened in February this year after reconstruction. An interactive museum, a craft museum, recording rooms, film studios, and a transforming assembly hall appeared here.

The Mari Historical and Cultural Center is doing a lot of work on the study, revival, preservation of cultural values, traditions, the development of folk crafts, the preservation, strengthening and development of the language of the Mari people. Over the years of operation, a rich visual material has been accumulated, reflecting the national identity of the Mari people.

Outside of Mari El, most of the Mari live in our republic. The Mari language is studied by 4,500 students in 103 educational institutions of the republic. In the Mishkinsky district, the Mari make up more than 70 percent of the population.

Radiy Khabirov visited a craft workshop with machine tools and a 3D printer, a recording, animation and video studio, study rooms, and an interactive museum of Mari people culture. The museum is the only one in Bashkortostan of this format; it is unique. The exhibition hall-foyer of the center is decorated in the Mari style.

“You have a beautiful story, a beautiful center. That would be great to bring tourists here. Crafts will be on sale, and the cafe will be able to earn money. The main thing is for us to do all this together,” Radiy Khabirov shared his impressions.
