Bashkiria spent 1.4 billion rubles on coronavirus payments

In 2020, 1.47 billion rubles were allocated from the republic's budget for payments to health care employees working with coronavirus patients. The Bashinform News Agency was informed about this by the Ministry of Health of the Republic. Additional payments are established for medical workers and specialists with higher non-medical education (biologists) providing medical care to patients with COVID-19 and people at risk and conducting laboratory diagnostics to other personnel who ensure the smooth functioning of medical institutions.

The Ministry of Health of Bashkiria informed that there were no cases of non-payment of incentives in the region.

"Also, following the decree of the Head of the Republic, at the expense of the regional budget, additional incentive payments have been established for medical workers and specialists with higher non-medical education who provide medical care to patients with COVID-19 in inpatient conditions. Funds of 390 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes," the ministry reported.
