Tourists number almost doubled in Bashkiria National Park

Over the two summer months, 61,000 tourists have visited the Bashkiria National Park. This is almost twice as much as in the previous period - last year there were just over 32 thousand tourists.

Most of the tourists came from cities and districts of Bashkiria, followed by the Orenburg region. The national park administration informs that there were also guests from the Chelyabinsk region, Moscow, and other regions.

The total income from tourism activities amounted to about 2.6 million rubles since the beginning of the year. At the expense of these funds, it was possible to repair roads, a vehicle fleet, fire-fighting equipment, as well as to reward employees, provide them with overalls, update the infrastructure, and purchase fuel and lubricants.

In addition to swimming in the reservoir, eco-tours to the Kuperlya waterfall and Kutuk-Sumgan tract, excursions along the eco-trails of Talla and Beyek-tau are popular with vacationers this year.

"The development of tourism in the national park is developing largely at the expense of extra-budgetary funds," Vladimir Kuznetsov, the Bashkiria National Park director, comments. "In recent years, much has been done to equip popular eco-routes: stairs, signs, fences, gazebos, toilets, containers have been installed. This summer, the part of the road going to the tourist centers was repaired, the ascent to the Swallow's Nest observation deck was leveled. Guides, inspectors received the necessary equipment."
