Ambulance helicopters more than 100 times flew to regions of republic

In the first half of this year, air ambulance helicopters flew to the republic's regions more than 100 times, about 100 patients received specialized medical care. Of these, 34 children had medical assistance, 11 children under one-year-old. Such data was presented by the head of the project activities department of the Ministry of Health RB Roza Yakhina at the board of the ministry.

To date, 109 flights to 36 settlements in Bashkiria have already been performed. Helicopters are sent mainly to remote settlements. So, 19 flights were made to Sibay, 14 to Beloretsk, 10 to Uchaly, and 8 to the city of Neftekamsk.

The regional air ambulance service is organized in two medical institutions - the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital and the G.G. Kuvatov Republican Clinical Hospital.

The air ambulance service is designed to provide emergency medical care in conditions of poor transport accessibility or great remoteness from medical institutions and the rapid transportation of sick and injured people when the severity of their condition requires it, the Ministry of Health informs.
