Modernization of Ufa air terminal complex should be completed by city anniversary: Khabirov

Reconstruction of the Ufa airport complex should be completed by the anniversary of the capital of Bashkiria. The Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, recalled this agreement to the general director of the Ufa airport, Alexander Andreev, at a briefing session on Monday.

We are talking, in particular, about the construction of a hotel in the territory of the complex.

"At the Investment Hour session, we discussed the hotel construction project. The one that works now does not correspond to modern realities. We agreed that all work on the modernization of the airport complex should be completed by the anniversary of Ufa," Radiy Khabirov said.

He also noted that it would be necessary to continue the program of subsidizing flights.

"It is important. I dream that the residents of Bashkiria could fly from the Ufa airport as just tourists or business travelers to large cities," the Head of the Republic noted.

He also shared plans to resume flights with Austria, Tel Aviv, and Germany after opening borders.
