615 thousand residents of Bashkiria jabbed both doses of COVID-19 vaccine

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose against coronavirus infection in Bashkiria exceeded 893.5 thousand people, the republican Ministry of Health reports.
615 thousand people jabbed both doses of the vaccine or completed the vaccination.
"Over the past 24 hours, over 29.5 thousand people have been vaccinated in the region," the Ministry of Health informs. "In total, Bashkiria has received about 1.050 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines at the moment."
As the Bashinform News Agency previously reported, since August 3, with a planned hospitalization, residents of Bashkiria are recommended to provide information on vaccination against COVID-19. On July 28, the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, made the corresponding changes to the decree on high alert.
The requirement for a vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test result is still in force when visiting museums and nightclubs and during mass physical culture and sports events in indoor premises.
On July 26, the republican government reported that the share of people immune to coronavirus among the population of Bashkiria, according to the sample studies, was about 30 percent.
"This is not enough," Prime Minister of the republic Andrei Nazarov said then. "To develop herd immunity, it is necessary to vaccinate at least 60 percent by September. Moreover, following the results of a recent meeting of the emergency headquarters, chaired by Tatyana Golikova, the task was set to vaccinate 80 percent of the adult population with the first dose of the vaccine by November 1," he said.
