Elena Shmeleva discussed quality of higher education with USPTU students

On July 22, Elena Shmeleva, head of the Sirius educational center, visited the Ufa State Petroleum Technical University (USPTU) and met with students. During the visit, the All Russian People’s Front Central Headquarters co-chairman and the students discussed the quality of higher education.

As Elena Shmeleva noted, there was a large concentration of projects in the region, which resulted in the large contribution of the republic to the national education system. According to her, it is necessary to develop equal professional programs and conduct professional development programs for teachers.

“Regional universities should become centers for the development of territories. We will support each of them, increasing the quality and uniqueness of the programs,” Shmeleva assured.

Elena Shmeleva, together with the rector of the university Oleg Baulin, visited the laboratories of the Faculty of Technology, educational and methodological lessons of technology. The head of the Sirius center touched upon the topic of salaries for scientific workers in educational structures. It said that regardless of the form of ownership, including in joint-stock companies, the salary should not be less than the amount established by the May decrees of the President of the country.
