COVID-19 situation in Bashkiria should improve in mid-August - analyst

A noticeable improvement in the situation with COVID-19 in Bashkiria, at best, should be expected in mid-August, open data analyst Alexander Dragan in the Delo program on the RBC Ufa TV channel said.
According to him, now the republic is at the extreme stage of the third wave of the virus. There is rapid growth and a severe deterioration of the epidemiological situation in the region, evidenced by the growth of the occupied bed capacity and the increase in the number of people infected.
According to the analyst, Bashkortostan, like other regions, will approach September 2021 with a relatively high level of morbidity and hospitalizations. September will bring additional risks due to the restoration of business activity and the return of schoolchildren and students to school.
“This can provoke a new outbreak, and the big question here is when exactly it will arise, what will cause it, and whether the mass vaccination now deployed will somehow mitigate it,” Alexander Dragan added.
