Elvira Aitkulova: Folkloriada in Bashkiria is impetus for folklore development

The World Folkloriada in Bashkortostan is an impetus for a comprehensive study and development of native folklore, Elvira Aitkulova, vice-speaker of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan, chairman of the Presidium of the World Kurultai of Bashkirs said.

According to the vice-speaker, the festival has become a bright and lively celebration of culture, folk art, and identity for the entire republic. Due to the Folkloriada, the inhabitants of Bashkortostan were imbued with the cultural heritage of countries from different parts of the world.

“These days, I attended concerts in Uchaly, Beloretsk, Ufa. I can say that Bashkortostan has once again shown itself to be a hospitable, culturally and nationally rich land!” Elvira Aitkulova shared.

As part of the Folkloriada, groups from Switzerland, the USA, Montenegro, Costa Rica, Albania, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan went on tour to the Eastern Festival District, including Uchaly Beloretsk. They showed unique dance and musical performances there. Local groups also shared their creativity. In addition to concerts, parades of peoples were held in the cities, exhibitions and fairs of arts and crafts were organized. It is noted that during the events, all sanitary standards were strictly observed.
