Beds for patients with the coronavirus in Bashkiria are 92% occupied. Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Health RB Maxim Zabelin, announced this yesterday at a meeting of the emergency operations center to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection with the participation of the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov.

According to him, in terms of incidence rates, Bashkortostan ranks 82nd in the country, but the gradual increase in the number of infected is alarming.

“Over the week, the average daily increase in the number of cases of COVID-19 was 16 percent. The incidence of pneumonia has increased by 25 percent,” the Minister of Health of the republic said. “Of the 1,980 deployed infectious disease beds, 92 percent of the beds are occupied. Today we are introducing an additional 250 beds and the same number from July 1 ”.

Thus, an infectious diseases hospital was opened at the City Hospital No. 13 in Ufa.

Over the past day, more than 20 thousand residents of Bashkiria were vaccinated against coronavirus. In total, 531,585 residents were vaccinated with the first dose in the region, and 371,176 people were vaccinated with the second. The region has already received 600,240 doses of Sputnik V, EpiVacCorona, and CoviVac vaccines. “Today, 110 thousand doses have been sent to the republic; we expect delivery on July 1. We will receive about 56 thousand more doses by the end of the week,” Maxim Zabelin said. “Immediately we begin to distribute the vaccine to cities and districts,” Radiy Khabirov set the task for the Ministry of Health of the republic to achieve uninterrupted supplies of vaccines to medical institutions and to ensure the replenishment of medicines in hospitals.
