Decision on holding Worldskills Championship in Bashkiria remains with federal committee - Nazarov

On June 28, Ufa hosted a meeting between First Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Alexander Bugaev, Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria Andrei Nazarov, representatives of the Agency for the Development of Professional Skills (WorldSkills Russia) (Moscow), and the republican Organizing Committee of the event. The briefing participants discussed the preparations for the event and anti-epidemiological measures in connection with the worsening situation with the coronavirus.

According to Andrei Nazarov, the republic is ready to host the final of the IX National Championship of WorldSkills Russia on the appointed dates. However, the decision remains with the federal organizing committee.

According to him, the decision of the federal organizing committee will be known in the coming days.

First Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Alexander Bugaev noted that the region's technical readiness to host the WorldSkills Russia final was at a high level.

General Director of the Agency for the Development of Professional Skills (WorldSkills Russia) Robert Urazov also highly appreciated the technical preparation of the republic.

The main competition venue for the final of the IX National Championship "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia) - 2021 will be the Park of Young Professionals - 70 thousand square meters. In total, more than 20 pavilions with the necessary equipment, 2 helipads, 2 checkpoints, a media center, a video studio, and recreation areas for participants and visitors will be located on the site.

For some competencies, other venues will be used. It is reported that the degree of readiness for most structures is more than 80%.

After the end of the championship, the structures are planned to be used at other events: city holidays, sporting events - they are mobile and all-season. For the championship, the republic purchases more than 3000 units of new equipment and tools. After the competition, all of them will be transferred to educational institutions in Bashkiria, which contributes to the appearance of more than 100 new workshops in colleges.

The final of the IX National Championship, "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia), is included in the plan of the main events for the Year of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation in 2021.

The competitions will be held in 105 professional competencies, divided into 7 blocks: construction and construction technologies; information and communication technologies; creativity and design; production and engineering technologies; services sector; transport and logistic; education. WorldSkills Russia Juniors competitions are planned in 51 competencies.

More than 1800 contestants will take part in the competitions, more than 600 of them are juniors. About 2000 people will represent the expert community. Competitors and experts from the Asia-Pacific region and the Commonwealth of Independent States will also take part in the championship.

The business program of the final of the IX National Championship "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia) will be held in the congress hall "Toratau" from July 22 to 24. The key topic of the event will be "HR Policy And Education In The Near Future".
