Capsule for descendants will be created at VI World Folkloriada in Ufa

At the VI World Folkloriada in Ufa, a capsule with a message for descendants will be created. Minister of Culture of Bashkortostan Amina Shafikova told about this at a press conference at the Rossiya media center on Tuesday.

“The closing ceremony of the Folkloriada is called “The Tree of Life. Message to Our Descendants". Without knowing folklore, we cannot grow further; we must remember this. It is planned to make two capsules with a message to descendants. This message will be signed by representatives of all countries participating in the current Folkloriada for transmission to the organizers of the next one. One capsule will be transferred to CIOFF, and the second we want to transfer to our National Museum,” the Minister said.

The next country to host the Folkloriada may be the United Arab Emirates. However, since this issue has not yet been fully resolved, the flag will be transferred to the CIOFF organization.

Let us remind you that the Folkloriada will take place in Bashkiria from 3 to 10 July. According to the latest information, representatives of 38 countries. Initially, before the pandemic, about 85 countries were supposed to take part in the holiday, preparations for which had been going on for several years. However, due to the epidemiological situation, their number has decreased by more than half.

The first charter flights will arrive in Ufa early in the morning on July 1, one of them - a team from Panama is already in Moscow. Russia at the Folkloriada will be represented by the honored collective of folk art - the choreographic ensemble from Penza "Venzel".

Increased safety measures will be taken at the festival in connection with the threat of the coronavirus spread.
